Xiaomi Mi 4c Will Be Powered By Snapdragon 808 Processor: CEO Lei Jun

President and co-Founder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, along with CEO and co-Founder, Lei Jun has confirmed that Xiaomi Mi 4c will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC. The Smartphone will also provide better Connectivity with a 20% faster speed than the previous smart phones of Xiaomi. It is also going to feature the Double Tap-Sleep option, which is already available in many of the android smart phones like Samsung and Sony. It allows you to on or off the screen just by tapping the touch screen twice, without even pressing the power button.

The Xiaomi Mi 4c will have dual-4G LTE standby mode. The earlier phones just supported one SIM slot supported 4G. Change in the packing of Xiaomi phones will also be seen. Xiaomi devices conventionally come in brown colored plain box. Now, for the upcoming devices, the packing will be of orange and white colors. Xiaomi Mi 4c will have two variants:

  1. 2GB RAM with 16GB storage
  2. 3GB RAM with 32GB storage

Lin Bin, who also gave a launch date of September 22, has confirmed it. Xiaomi does not yet confirm specifications, but it is expected that Xiaomi Mi 4c will have a Full HD display of 5 inch, rear camera of 12MP, front camera of 5MP and a battery of 3080 mAh.

The processor is expected to be MIUI 7, which is based on android’s Lollipop v5.0. There are speculations that it may have a Type-C USB port. It is predicted that only 1,00,000 units of market available smart phones will be made by Xiaomi. However, it remains unclear if it for two variants collectively or for both of them individually.

The rumors of the next product of Xiaomi, Mi5, are already there in the market. It is expected to feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, 16MP rear camera, 4GB of RAM, Built in storages of 16GB and 64GB. The processor in Mi5 can be MediaTek’s Helio X20 SoC or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820.
