Trump And Palin – The Republican Dream Ticket

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has pulled out all the stops to win the backing off conservative Iowa in his campaign by teaming up with madcap former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.

With just a few days before the state’s Republicans decide whether to back Trump, his union with Palin seems like a marriage made in heaven for the right wing of the party.

Palin is hugely popular in Iowa and will pull a lot of support to Trump.

In truth, he is probably the only candidate who will not be tarnished by campaigning with Palin.

Both are outspoken.

Stumping for Trump

Trump and his tirades against Muslims were difficult for many would-be supporters to swallow, but Palin has a history of even more outlandish comments, many couched in what sounds like gibberish.

For instance, the only difference between a Pitbull and a hockey mum is the lipstick, she once famously remarked.

Sharing a stage with Trump she shouted: “I’m here to support the next president of the United States. Are you ready to stump for Trump?

“Are you ready to vote for a leader to make America great again?”

She also spoke about Trump sending troops to fight ISIS in the Middle East.

Sharing the limelight

Surprisingly, Trump has a significant lead in the polls for winning the backing to run as the republican Presidential candidate.

So far, his polished campaign has steered Trump away from the real cut and thrust of politics with a viable opponent who is articulate, has sensible policies and is firmly rooted in the real world.

Trump and Palin are a double act doomed not to last. Both have a problem with sharing the limelight even though Trump called her special and amazing.

No doubt Trump and Palin have agreed a trade-off. He needs her loyal supporters and in return, he has hinted he will offer her a post in his cabinet, if elected.

Maybe the most astonishing fact is the stage was Trump’s, but he is hardly quoted in the news of Palin taking to the stage to endorse him. It’s the first time Trump has been lost for words and overshadowed.
