Top 10 Best Bollywood Movies of 2015

Just like every other year, Bollywood definitely impressed in the year 2k15. From Kangna Ranaut to newcomer Sooraj Pancholi; a number of Bollywood actors made headlines. Here is the list of Top 10 Bollywood Movies till date –

1. Manjhi The Mountain Man

  • Director – Ketan Mehta
  • Star Cast – Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Ashutosh Acharya, Shahzad Ahmad

The plot revolves around Dashrath Manjhi, who is determined to carve out a path out of a mountain, as a tribute to her loving wife who slipped and died from the same mountain. Dashrath sets out on a mission so that nobody else would suffer from a fate similar to his, and in order to do so, he sets out with just a hammer and a chisel for 22 long years and finally gets successful.

2. Drishyam

  • Director – Nishikant Kamat
  • Star Cast – Ajay Devgan, Shriya Saran, Tabu

The story is of Vijay Salgaonkar; a man of few means and needs. He lives with his wife and two daughters and is a big movie fan. In a bizarre turn of events, a teenage boy goes missing and, the prime suspect is Vijay’s family. The later part of the movie revolves around how the family survives violent investigation and, try proving their innocence.

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan

  • Star Cast – Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kareena Kapoor, Harshaali Malhotra

The story is about a little girl who gets lost on her way back to Pakistan. She meets Pawan – a devotee of Hanuman in Kurukshektra. The entire plot rotates around Pawan & this little girl and the bond they form with each other while searching for her parents both in India & Pakistan. Pawan gets into Pakistan illegally and takes the help of a local reporter in the search operation despite being declared as a terrorist, and, finally finds them.

4. Gabbar is Back

  • Star Cast – Akshay Kumar, Shruti K. Hasan, Sunil Grover

This story is about a man who calls himself Gabbar Singh Rajput, forms his own army and names it as Anti-Corruption Force (ACF) to eliminate the most corrupt individuals. To stop Gabbar from these killings, Balbir Singh is summoned to take charge who with the help of Suryam (a constable in the police)is able to track Gabbar down.

5. Baahubali: The Beginning

  • Star Cast – Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty

The movie depicts the tale of two cousins Bala and Baahubali in the kingdom of Mahishmati and the epic battle which is fought between them to conquer the throne. How Shivudu, the young tribal warrior comes to know about the heroic battles fought by his father Baahubali and how he gets to learn about his past and, awaits his destiny.

6. Tanu Weds Manu Returns

  • Director – Himanshu Sharma
  • Star Cast – Kangana Ranaut, R. Madhavan, Jimmy Shergill

The plot revolves around both the lead characters; Tanu and Manu and how their marriage falls apart just after 4 years. On returning back to India, both Tanu and, Manu starts living separately until one day Manu gets to meet a look-alike of Tanu; Kusum – a Haryanvi athlete. Both Tanu and Manu gets reunited at the end, due to the confrontation of Kusum in the wedding pandal.

7. Piku

  • Director – Shoojit Sircar
  • Star Cast – Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Irfan Khan

The movie is of a comedy genre which depicts the relationship of an ageing father and his young daughter, who despite conflicting and arguing on each other’s ideologies are fully aware of the fact that they are only each other’s true emotional support.

8. Brothers

  • Star Cast – Akshay Kumar, Siddhartha Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez

It’s the story of two estranged brothers who, unaware of each other’s situations, get to fight each other in the ring. One fights to prove himself while the other fights to save his ill daughter.

9. Phantom

  • Star Cast – Saif Ali Khan, Katrina Kaif, Rajesh Tailang

It’s a political thriller movie of protagonist Dayal who travels across continents to seek justice, however, he finds that in order to seek justice there is always a price to pay, in this case a very personal price.

10. All Is Well

  • Star Cast – Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin

The complete movie revolves around the road trip taken by Inder and Mr. Bhalla which gets sour due to intervention of their unwelcome mother.
