‘The Big Short’ Trailer Starring Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt Launched

Seldom do we see the biggest of the Hollywood stars in the same movie. As the trailer of ‘The Big Short’ is out, that word ‘seldom’ seems to be fading away for Hollywood as we will be seeing the likes of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling in the same freaking movie. Hell yeah!

We saw Brad Pitt and Sean Penn both playing leading roles in Terrence Malick’s arthouse masterpiece ‘The Tree of Life’ while in the 90’s we had the opportunity to see Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in ‘Interview with the Vampire’ and later in that decade we had David Fincher’s ‘Fight Club’ where we saw Edward Norton and his alter ego played by Brad Pitt. Woah, Brad all the way. But seeing him in the latest trailer with Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling, it’s a totally different experience and to make the matter further more interesting we have Steve Carell joining the star-studded cast.

As the summer holidays are heavily infested by the superhero flicks, based on Hollywood’s ritual, we have all the more serious prestige dramas coming in the fall, to make the season more intense. Ahead of ‘The Martian’ and following ‘Black Mass’, we have the trailer of ‘The Big Short’ with us which is now available on the video sharing website YouTube for a free viewing. Go check it out if you already haven’t, this will give you goosebumps like never before.

Starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt, the movie will feature them as four men who will bet against the banks ahead of the financial crisis of 2008. Heavy stuff, we must admit. However, the interesting thing is the fact that the movie is directed by Adam McKay who is known primarily for the comedy movies such as ‘The Other Guys’, ‘Step Brothers’ and ‘Anchorman’. This is the first time when he is going for a drama as intense as ‘The Big Short’. Written by Charles Randolph the movie is based on a novel by the same guy who wrote ‘Moneyball’, Michael Lewis.

Although the movie was shot earlier this year, we were expecting the release date to be sometime around the second quarter of the next year but as the studio, Paramount Pictures saw the almost finished cut of the film, they decided to go with a 2015 release. The studio was impressed with the sheer intensity of the film and deemed it as a worthy contender in the Oscar race. All those factors worked in film’s favour and here we are, with the trailer, awaiting the movie with our fingers crossed.

‘The Big Short’ will be premiering in the first week of November during the AFI FEST 2015 presented by Audi and after that it will be available in the cinemas across the world by the end of this year, which is already crowded with big releases.
