Paula Deen Joins Dancing With The Stars With Nick Carter

Dancing With The Stars

Chef Paula Deen is all set to be the one of the contestants on the upcoming season of “Dancing with Stars”, E! News is reporting. She turned down the offer when she was asked to join the ABC dance competition in 2010. “They did ask me, and I said no,” Deen told Extra at the time. “Fat girls don’t look good sweating.”

It appears that the 68-year-old, Paula, will be joining Australian conservationist Bindi Irwin and Backstreet Boy Singer Nick Carter on the competitive dance floor of “Dancing with Stars”. Although she is well-known for her cooking, she is a stardom as she made her film debut in Elizabethtown, starring Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst in 2005. She played the aunt of Bloom’s character, and her cooking was featured. Her show, Paula Goes Hollywood, aired with the film’s premiere. Also, Deen won a Daytime Emmy Awards (Outstanding Lifestyle Host) for Paula’s Home Cooking in June 2007.

The journey for Paula has not been quite smooth as she faced extensive criticism for the high amounts of fat, salt, and sugar in her recipes. She failed in presenting her book, “Cookbook for the Lunch-Box Set, a cookbook aimed at children, with Barbara Walters saying, “You tell kids to have cheesecake for breakfast. You tell them to have chocolate cake and meatloaf for lunch. And french fries. Doesn’t it bother you that you’re adding to this?” Despite being in criticism, she managed herself to get away from all those comments.

She lost endorsement deals when she was found using N-word during a videotaped deposition. But she backed her up and in 2014, Deen decided to start her online cooking network.
“Guess who’s going digital, y’all! I’m so excited about my new online Network and can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on,” she said in a statement in June 2014. “We’re going to have so much fun being together and cooking up some wonderful new and classic dishes”.

She is always making headlines with someone, so this time it was her son Bobby Deen when she posted her photo with him. “Lucyyyyyyyy! You got a lot of splaining to do! #TransformationTuesday” Deen captioned the photo of herself dressed like Lucy Ricardo from the hit ‘50s sitcom I Love Lucy. In the snapshot, Bobby posed as Ricky Ricardo, who was of Cuban descent. The tweet was deleted quickly after one hour.
She is known as comeback queen for nothing and this time it’s with stars, “Dancing with Stars”.
