Nicholas Jerry “Nick” Jonas or simply Nick Jonas was born on September 16, 1992 in Dallas, Texas. His mother, Denise (née Miller), is a former sign language teacher and singer, and his father, Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. is a songwriter, musician, and former ordained minister at an Assemblies of God church. He was raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey and homeschooled by his mother. He has two older brothers, Kevin (born 1987), Joe (born 1989) and a younger brother, Frankie (born 2000).
He has type 1 diabetes (diagnosed in 2005 while on tour) and, uses The Bayer Contour Meter for his Type 1 diabetes. He has developed the Change for the Children Foundation to raise money and awareness for diabetes. He also developed a public service announcement with the Washington Nationals to support diabetes care at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He dated Miley Cyrus in 2006-07, Selena Gomez in 2008 and, Delta Goodrem in May 2011 but, they broke up in February 2012. As of August 2013, he was dating Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo, whom he met at the 2013 Miss USA competition but, in June 2015, they too brake up.
He plays the electric and acoustic guitar, piano, and the drums and, does collect baseball cards. He had a dog named Cocco and, currently has a dog called Elvis. Some of his hobbies includes playing baseball and golf, collecting baseball cards, tennis, songwriting and music. His favorite movie is Juno (2007) and his favorite song is Superstition by Stevie Wonder. He is the proud owner of 16 guitars. His favorite musicians are Stevie Wonder, Fall Out Boy, Johnny Cash, Elvis Costello, and Switchfoot while his favorite song to play in concert is A Little Bit Longer.
Jonas’s career started when he was discovered at the age of six in a barber shop, while his mother was getting her hair cut and was referred to a professional show business manager. At the age of 7, he began performing on Broadway. He had acted in several plays, including A Christmas Carol (2000), Annie Get Your Gun (2001), Beauty and the Beast (2002), and many more. In film industry, Jonas was seen in Best of Both Worlds and, Camp rock both in 2008, Jonas Brothers: The Journey (2011), Careful What You Wish For (2015). Jonas has won many accolades in her career like: Young Hollywood award, Teen Choice award, Nickelodeon Kids Choice award.
