Motorola Will Now Sell Their Smartphones To Snapdeal And Amazon

For more than one year, Motorola India was selling its Moto-range exclusively on Flipkart and now they have decided to expand their selling to other platforms as well. That means the interested customers now have more options to buy Motorola phones. These shopping destinations include Airtel stores and E-commerce websites Amazon and Snapdeal.

Flipkart now will not be the exclusive dealer of Motorola phones in India; its rivals now have the authorities to sell Moto range phones online. The company confirmed in a press statement that they would be selling Moto devices through Brightstar India, its distribution partner.

The first device that will be available on Airtel stores across India is first Moto E (Gen 2) 4G. On the other hand, Snapdeal and Amazon will start selling Moto E (Gen 2) 4G and Moto E (Gen 2) smartphones on Friday.

Amit Boni, General Manager of Motorola, Commenting on the announcement said, “Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences.”

The company announced that it had sold 5.6 million Motorola smartphones through Flipkart. The announcement was made at this month’s launch of Moto X Play. In January, the company announced a figure of 2.6 million as its sales in 7-8 months.

In the meantime, Motorola is also thinking of bringing Moto Maker to India. However, there is no timeline set for this. With Moto Maker service, customers can customize their Smartphones with ascents and shells among other things.

Motorola didn’t announce if their devices like Moto X play and 2015 Moto G will be available on other retailer or not. Customers have to wait until tomorrow to find out more.
