Everton Prepared To Defeat Chelsea?

Premier League defending Champions Chelsea is currently placed in the lower half of the table early in the season. Jose Mourinho has been under fire due to his team’s poor performances early in the season and the team has clearly lacked discipline conceding two red cards in the opening few games. On the other hand Everton will be grateful at the absence of Chelsea captain John Terry due to suspension could help the Everton attackers in their pursuit of the Chelsea goal.

Everton beat Chelsea in Transfer window, can they do it in the Premier League?

Everton manager Roberto Martinez stopped Chelsea in their pursuit for England international John Stones, in spite of many attempts from Jose Mourinho with values estimated at 40 million pounds. Quite clearly a mid-level club would have been tempted by such an enormous offer. However, Everton did not help in Chelsea strengthening their squad for the campaign and thus can be taken as a small victory over the rivals.

Anyways, it is completely different in the field and Everton have just one victory over Chelsea since Mourinho returned for his second stint at the club.

The Everton manager’s new signing Ramiro Funes Mori will add further solidarity to the team’s defense this season and it putting up a good show against the defending Champions might turn out as a great debut for the youngster. On the other hand, it would also be very interesting to see how John Stones would deal with the club that were so desperate to sign him during the transfer window.

Cesc Fabregas vs Ross Barkley

At this time last year, Fabregas was already a fan favourite at his new club with his stellar performances, combined with the shooting skills of Diego Costa and the finesse of Eden Hazard terrorized the opposition defense. This year around, it has been quite  the opposite Fabregas is not creating enough chances, neither Costa is able to score goals and Hazard has been under the heat from the Belgium manager.

However, these are not the only problems concerning Chelsea, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likely to be unavailable due to a knee injury for an extended period, reported DNA.

Looking at the Everton end, things are quite positive. Ross Barkley has been a catalyst for most Everton attacks this season and notched a few goals in the process too. The toffees faithful would hope for Barkley to continue his great form this season and a great game against the defending champions could well be a moment to cherish.

The two players will be beneficial to their respective teams and the player that does better may just win the match for their team.
