Colin Ford Celebrates His 19th Birthday on September 12

Ford was born on September 12, 1996, in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. He attended Campbell Hall School, the same school as his We Bought a Zoo costar, Elle Fanning.He currently attends Oaks Christian Online High School, a college preparatory school.

He enjoyed being in front of the camera which led to his start in the entertainment business. At the age of 4, he modeled for print ads for regional and national retailers and, when he turned 5 years old, he made his film debut as Clinton Jr. in the feature film Sweet Home Alabama. Later he obtained more roles in independent films such as Moved, The Book of Jaene and Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd.

Colin DJ’s sometimes at Club Radioactive and his DJ name is DJ C-4. His favorite movie is Stand by Me (1986) and, TV shows are Breaking Bad (2008), Parenthood (2010) and Revolution (2012).

In 2004, Ford portrayed Matthew Steed in the movie The Work and the Glory.Following his role in Smallville, he reprised his role as Matthew Steed in The Work and the Glory: American Zion, and also played a lead role, as Jackson Patch in Dog Days of Summer. In 2007 he gave his voice for a character named Dart in the movie titled: Christmas in Here Again and, also played the role of Zaph in In name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

Four years later post the release of Dart, he starred in the film We Bought a Zoo, which was released in December 2011. In the movie he played the young son Dylan of a three-part family, with Matt Damon as the father, Benjamin, along with a little sister Rosie Maggie Elizabeth Jones. Other than these, Ford has been a part of many other movies like: Push and Bride Wars both in 2009, Ticket Out in 2011 and, Eye of The Hurricane in 2012.

Apart from movies, Colin has appeared in number of TV shows as well: Supernatural (2007-2011), Family Guy (2010-2013) to name a few and, is currently working for a show titled: Under the Dome. He apart from getting nominated has been awarded the Young Artist award 2 times in 2010 and, 2011 for his roles in Supernatural and Jack and the Beanstalk. Next year in 2012, he again won the same award in the category: Best Performance in a Voice over Role: Young Actor for his role in Jack and the Never Land Pirates.
