As Syria is going through some really hard times, a number of British actors came ahead in order to lend their support to the refugees. The horrifying situation going on in Syria is getting more intense day by day and in the past few days we have seen a host of big names from the international film fraternity coming out in support of the Syrian refugees. British actors such as Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Sir Michael Cane, Colin Firth and our beloved ‘Sherlock’, Benedict Cumberbatch are openly making the world aware of the inhuman activities going on in the area.
The ultimate motive of their campaign is, for the most part, to criticize the UK government for its lacklustre response towards the situation and they are urging PM James Cameron to do more as they somehow feel that whatever things are being done for Syria’s betterment are not enough. The conflict going on in Syria is immensely affecting the general population of the Islamic country they need much more support from the bigger countries such as US and UK. The list of the film fraternity people who are lending their support to the country is getting bigger as the situation keeps getting out of control.
However, it is going on for very long now, but the recent images of dead children found in the Turkish coastline are breaking hearts all over the world and thus compelling the whole world to show their support in order to establish peace in the area. The current chain of events have brought the entire world’s attention to it and thus more and more countries are offering help which is quite a good sign and it is expected that the country will be at peace soon once the conflict is resolved.
Of all the unfortunate happenings taking place in the area, a picture of a 3-year-old Syrian boy went viral online and shocked the entire world. He was seen carried by a Turkish officer and it is reported that he lost his life while finding the sanctuary. Almost half of the total population of Syria has already left the country to Jordan and Lebanon in order to keep themselves away from the intense violence taking place in the country owing to the uprising against the government of Bashar Al-Assad.
Cumberbatch even released a video in order to bring entire world’s attention to the country in trouble.
