Career vs love life! That is an ongoing battle goes on in ordinary people’s lives. But to think that celebrities are excluded from the scenario, we may be wrong. We have seen in the past when love was brutally murdered by the busy schedules and the latest couple that turned out to be the latest victim is Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll as they both decided to end their 2-year old beautiful relationship blaming their busy schedules. “Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make the relationship work with their schedules,” a source said. Well, the beautiful couple has been known to be in a healthy relationship for quite sometime now and their split is causing shock waves across the industry.
The source said that the couple was trying hard to maintain their affectionate bond despite the busy schedules but ultimately they couldn’t hold it for too long and decided to choose their respective careers over their relationship. Their intense work schedules were keeping them apart as they struggled to see each other quite often. The source explained, “They really tried, but it just wasn’t realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together.” However, this was a peaceful separation and we can certainly assume that the couple will remain friends.
The ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress and Kroll started dating in May 2013 and slowly their relationship grew strong as the time passed. They became inseparable overtime but time does change things. A source told Us Weekly that at the time that Poehler was looking for a “comedian who ‘gets’ her”. Despite going on records about the beautiful and strong bond they shared, the couple was rarely ever seen together over the course of past two years. The last time they both were spotted together was during the premier of ‘Adult Beginners’ earlier this year in the month of April.
The Golden Globe winner previously told a lot of things about Kroll in her “Yes Please” memoir, Us Weekly reported. The actress said in the memoir that she has finally found a boyfriend who “knows how to settle” her, and she shared how the comedian would put his hand on Poehler’s chest and tell her “boring stories.”
“On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen,” Poehler added.
Now, these “aww” moments do make us a bit sad about the breakup but what can we do. Kroll was actress’s first relationship after her divorce and she looked quite satisfied sharing her life with him. Poehler was previously married to actor Will Arnett for a long period of nine years, before the two separated in September 2012. Poehler and Arnett have two children together, Archie and Abel.
